2024 Porsche Cayenne Redesign, Interior, Models – The 2024 Porsche Cayenne luxury mid-size SUV with agile handling and exceptional power. It is a direct competitor to the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class. Porsche’s new 2024 Cayenne SUV is an excellent choice for people who want a well-balanced ride and a lot of power.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne infotainment system was updated this year to include wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. The Cayenne is available in two body styles: a more formal SUV and a Cayenne Coupe with a sloping roofline. Both make extensive use of Porsche-specific stylistic features, the majority of which work pretty well both inside and out.

This expansive portfolio includes everything from powerful turbocharged V-6s to twin-turbo V-8s and a couple of plug-in hybrids. Power outputs range from a respectable 335 hp to a massive 670 hp. Our favorite is smack dab in the middle: the Cayenne GTS, with its tuned air suspension and torque-vectoring rear axle.

Interior

Though it isn’t the most efficient SUV in terms of using its large footprint, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne has a luxurious, high-end feel with exceptional attention to detail. It earns a 9 out of 10 for its comfy seats, overall passenger space, attention to detail, and cargo space—with some caveats on the last point. The Cayenne’s interior is spacious enough for five people, while coupe models are limited to four.

The front seats are multi-adjustable, and the back bench is also adjustable. While leather seats are standard, a comprehensive list of available upgrades includes softer hides, chilled front seats, massage, and more power adjustability for front-seat riders. The 2024 Cayenne has a load capacity of 27.5 cubic feet, but that capacity increases to 60.3 cubic feet when the rear seatbacks are folded. Coupe models lose around 6 cubic feet due to their sloping rooflines.

Engine

It all depends on what you want and how far your money will go.Cayenne base versions are equipped with a 335-horsepower, turbocharged V-6 engine, capable of a 0-60 mph sprint in the mid-five-second range. That is no mean feat. Upgrade to the Cayenne S’s 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 and you’ll shave at least a half-second off those times with a 434-horsepower engine. As with all E-Hybrid models, they combine the standard V-6 engine with an electric motor to provide 455 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds, as well as astonishing acceleration from a stop and seamless transitions between gasoline and electric power. V-8 enthusiasts, rejoice.

The GTS receives a twin-turbocharged eight-cylinder engine with 480 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of a little over four seconds. The same engine, slightly upgraded, produces 550 horsepower in the Cayenne Turbo and 631 hp in the Turbo GT. The 670-horsepower Turbo S E-Hybrid at the top of the list is a fierce monster equipped with an electric motor and the most peppy version of the V-8. Expect a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds and a peak speed of 183 mph.

All Cayenne models have outstanding maneuverability for SUVs weighing up to 5,100 lbs. Additional options like rear-axle steering, air suspension, active anti-roll bars, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a torque-vectoring rear differential can significantly increase performance. Even base models corner with a certain amount of lean; optional active anti-roll bars tighten things up considerably for almost laughably flat cornering. This large SUV’s rear-axle steering mechanism is capable of threading a curving route.
