2024 Porsche Cayman GTS Colors, Exterior, Changes – The Porsche Cayman is the most cost-effective option to drive away in a brand new coupe from the renowned manufacturer. While few Cayman purchasers are going to brag about this fact, several other aspects of the range are well worth celebrating.
From the entry-level turbocharged boxer-four to the astonishing GTS 4.0 with its 394-horsepower six-cylinder engine, each Cayman sets the standard for how a sports coupe should behave, combining superb balance with razor-sharp handling. Other advantages of Cayman ownership include a seductive appearance and many personalization options. Still, the cabin may use an update, and the four-cylinder vehicles don’t sound all that inspirational.
2024 Porsche Cayman Redesign
For the 2024 Porsche Cayman model year, Cayman receives only two new paint colors: Frozen Berry and Shark Blue Metallic. Additionally, other customization choices have been available, such as having your key fob color-coded to match the color of your car’s paint. Porsche has also expanded its leather accessory lineup to include leather floor mats and key pouches.
The entry-level model is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, black-painted brake calipers, an automatically expanding rear wing, and bi-xenon headlights equipped with the Porsche Dynamic Light System. Additionally, the brand’s signature four-point LED daytime running lights are included. The Cayman S receives red brake calipers and 19-inch wheels, while the Cayman T retains black calipers but receives 20-inch wheels.
Interior
This means that all essential controls are ideally positioned, the driving posture is ideal, and the iconic 2024 Porsche Cayman dials do not distract us from some rivals’ more ostentatious full digital instrument displays. Although the overall design is utilitarian, it now appears a little dismal, and while fit and quality are excellent, the Audi TT has the edge in this respect. Porsche increased standard equipment last year, including automated dual-zone temperature control and heated seats.
However, driving assistance features like adaptive cruise control and lane change assist remain optional. At the very least, standard equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, standard cruise control, and auto-dimming mirrors. There is ample head-and legroom for both, and while the Cayman is not a large car, the cabin is plenty wide. In addition, there is a lot of room to adjust the steering column, as well as a seat backrest angle that can be set electronically and a height and fore/aft position that can be set manually.
Engine
The 2024 Porsche Cayman and Cayman T are equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer-four engine that produces 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. As is the case with the rest of the line, it is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. Upgrading to the Cayman S boosts displacement to 2.5 liters and boosts output to 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft. Remove the uninspired acoustics and there is little to complain about.
The turbocharged Caymans are quick and responsive, and they work well with both transmissions. While the PDK is faster and one of the greatest dual-clutch systems available in any car, the snappy six-speed manual is equally enjoyable to drive. If you can afford it, the GTS 4.0 will not disappoint. Its 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine produces 394 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque. Torque is increased to 317 lb-ft when equipped with the optional PDK transmission. While the GTS is not significantly quicker than the Cayman S in manual form, it provides a far more interesting driving experience and sounds fantastic when pushed to the redline of 7,800 rpm.
2024 Porsche Cayman Release Date and Price
The 2024 Porsche Cayman begins at $60,500 in the United States, a $600 increase over last year’s model. The Cayman T is priced at $69,600, followed by the more powerful Cayman S at $72,500. The GTS 4.0 will set you back a whopping $87,400 for access to a naturally aspirated flat-six. All of these prices exclude optional equipment and Porsche’s $1,350 delivery charge. The Porsche Cayman will cost an extra $3,210 with the PDK transmission on the basic trim and S, and $3,730 with the T and GTS. Approach the options list with caution—in little time at all, we were able to customize a Porsche Cayman for well over $140,000. This is true for the GTS 4.0 when many options are selected.
